Danielle’s work captures altered states of consciousness through photography, film and installation.
Her process is a form of meditation-in-action. By acting in the moment the aesthetic is discovered rather than created. The key materials which enable her process are ink, water and light. Dispersing, diffusing, diffracting, and embracing the unexpected.
Documenting her actions allows her to solidify these visual meditations. She may then elongate, interpret and share the experience with the viewer. Her aim is strike a balance; between discipline and freedom, between chance and choice, between order and chaos.
